Claude Debussy International Music Competition 2025
Celebrating Excellence, Creativity & Artistry Across the Globe

The Claude Debussy International Music Competition proudly announces its 2025 winners — a truly global celebration of musical excellence.
This online competition welcomes participants from all nations and artistic backgrounds, embracing all instruments, conducting, composition, voice, chamber music, orchestra, choir, and music creation.

Founded to challenge virtuosity and inspire artistic growth, the Debussy Competition offers a supportive yet competitive platform where musicians can share their talent, creativity, and dedication. Its mission: to discover outstanding personalities and launch international careers.

Among this year’s laureates is Belgian composer Kris De Ruysscher, whose visionary works received top recognition across several categories:

I’m proud to report that the European Recording Orchestra (ERO) and Film Scoring Academy of Europe announced the Top 25% for the 2025 Call for Scores. Like last year’s edition, my composition for the competition - this year a global event as there were pre-selections not only in Europe but also in Africa, Asia, Oceania, North America and South America - made it to the best 25% of European entries. The announcement has now been made public on their Instagram and Facebook stories, as well as on the European Recording Orchestra website.

I’m more than proud to announce that of the two compositions that got through to the semi-finals at the International FMC Film Music Contest, the biggest international music competition and awards of its kind in Europe and Asia, Tori No Saezuri got through to the finals!
